“LIIF has proven invaluable. By financing the development of these residential properties, LIIF has enhanced the quality of 32 units of affordable housing in Sunset Park and South Park Slope, Brooklyn. Brendan Shera, Fifth Avenue Committee (Brooklyn, New York)

Fifth Avenue Committee (FAC) Restore Development properties are five-, four- and three -story residential properties that contain a total of 32 affordable housing units for low income families and individuals in South Brooklyn, New York. LIIF’s $1.4 million loan to FAC, one of the most experienced nonprofit community development corporations in New York City, made it possible for all five residential buildings to be fully renovated to high-quality housing standards, providing families with affordable, modern homes. Mr. and Mrs. Ramsaroop, a very low income senior citizen couple, are happily settled in their newly constructed building. Mrs. Ramsaroop states, “Our neighborhood is very good, we’re happy here and happy with our new, clean home.”
